WHO ARE WE?

The International Hellenic University  (IHU) was initially established in October 2005 and based in Thessaloniki, Greece. It was Greece’s first public university where programes were taught exclusively in English and it was composed of three schools, offering twenty-four master programs. The university’s structure was reformed in 2019 after a merge with 3 regional polytechnic universities resulting in an institution comprised of nine schools and thirty-three departments, with campuses scattered across nine Greek cities:

The School of Engineering of the International Hellenic University has large experience in National and International projects, namely EU projects, with several previous EU grants in FP6, FP7 and also in H2020.

The Energy Systems Research Laboratory, is hosted by the Department of Industrial Engineering (School of Engineering), is a research laboratory which was institutionally founded in 2018 and deals with the research and development of electric vehicles for aerial, ground, underwater applications and on smart transportation systems. The mission of the Energy Systems Research Laboratory is the spread of electric propulsion, and the evolution of the various electronic systems of a vehicle.
